Damara Dik-Dik - Forst Eibenstein

In eastern and southwestern parts of Africa, the Damara Dik-dik, a small antelope species, is found.

It reaches a length of up to 70 cm and weighs up to 7 kg when fully grown. The shoulder height is about 35-45 cm. The Kirk dikdik has a reddish-brown head and a 3.5-5.5 cm long tail.

Its soft, gray-brown fur is speckled and it feeds on a variety of plants. His hooves have rubbery undersides that are especially effective when crossing rocky terrain.
